Shaping the Future of Transportation Engineering

Since 1998, the National Summer Transportation Institute (NSTI) has introduced talented students to the world of transportation engineering through immersive, hands-on learning experiences. Based at Morgan State University’s School of Engineering, NSTI combines real-world engineering challenges with college preparation, creating pathways to success in transportation careers.

In 2021, Morgan State University received national recognition from the Council of University Transportation Centers for NSTI’s excellence in workforce development.

We are now offering two versions of the program: an introductory course designed to introduce students to transportation careers and STEM skills, and anadvanced course for returning NSTI students seeking a more in-depth learning experience.
